Laura Freixas calls for women with "more authorship and more authority" in culture

La Paz, Aug 11 (EFE), (Camera: Gina Baldivieso).- Spanish writer Laura Freixas advocated in La Paz for women to have "more authorship and more authority" in culture so that it favors more equality, something that, in her opinion, does not happen at present because it is still "retrograde" and reproduces the old models under new appearances.

Freixas (Barcelona, 1958) arrived in Bolivia to participate in the XXVI International Book Fair of La Paz and to give a workshop on "Women and Literature" at the Cultural Center of Spain in La Paz (CCELP).

Statement: For culture to be more egalitarian, the only solution is for women to participate more in it as creators, as cultural managers, as people with power in the world of culture, that is, for women to have more authorship and authority, because women globally have a more egalitarian vision of things, they are more concerned about equality and seek more equality than men.
