Latvia hosts NATO's third air policy base in the Baltic Sea region

Lielvārde (Latvia), Mar 2 (EFE/EPA) - (Camera: Valda Kalnina) NATO's Baltic airspace surveillance mission was inaugurated Saturday at the Lielvārde base of the Latvian National Armed Forces.

For the next nine months, Latvia will take over maintenance of the mission while repairs are carried out at the Estonian Air Force Amari Base.
