Quito, May 24 (EFE), (Camera; Juan Francisco Chavez).- Ecuador's President Guillermo Lasso on Tuesday presented the economic growth of 4.2%, robust dollarization and private investment of US$5 billion as results of his first year in office.

Translation of President Lasso's statements:

1. In other words, after a year that has served to stabilize our health and economy, the worst of the storm is over.

2. Many ask themselves what is the work of Lasso in the first year of government and I tell them: the first work of Lasso has been to save the lives of 18 million Ecuadorians.

3. Proud of what we have saved so many lives but also of what we have saved Ecuador from the economic precipice.
