Lack of recognition of territories leads to violence against indigenous people in Honduras

Tegucigalpa, Mar 20 (EFE).- The violence suffered by indigenous and Garifuna (black) communities in Honduras stems from the lack of recognition of their ancestral territories and the granting of concessions for extractive projects without applying the right to free, prior and informed consultation, highlights a report presented Wednesday in Tegucigalpa.
