SPAIN MONARCHY

King Felipe VI celebrates the 375th anniversary of Farnese Regiment, the oldest cavalry regiment in the world

Valladolid (Spain), Mar 7 (EFE).- The king presided this Thursday in Valladolid over the military parade that commemorates the 375th anniversary of the creation of the Farnese Cavalry Regiment Number 12 of the Army, the oldest active cavalry unit in the world, an act that the people of Valladolid do not regret. They wanted to lose.

For approximately an hour, around 200 troops on foot, armored vehicles and horse units have toured the Paseo Central del Campo Grande, witness to a multitude of celebrations throughout the city's history.

Upon his arrival, Felipe VI, dressed in the uniform of captain general of the Army, was received by the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles; and by the president of the Junta de Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco.
