Japanese manga artist Yoichi Takahashi leaves door open to AI

Tokyo, Apr 23 (EFE) - Manga cartoonist Yoichi Takahashi, author of 'Captain Tsubasa', whose successful adaptation to animation came as 'Campeones: Oliver and Benji' to Spain and 'Supercampeones' to Latin America, does not rule out the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to give continuity to his work.

Takahashi decided to put an end to the paper publication of his work in April, after 43 years, and is now immersed in a web project (https://captain-tsubasa.world/) where he is giving continuity to the adventures of Tsubasa Ozora (Oliver Atom) in his most recent series, 'Captain Tsubasa Rising Sun'.

- "If I leave this work in pencil if the AI is well developed in the future and studies well the manga I made so far, I might be able to draw manga in my style. In this way, I think this work I am doing now has more value".

- "The AI getting into the story would be different. In my case, I'm the one creating the plot and I have no interest in the AI doing it. But if I were able to transmit my ideas to that well-trained AI, I think it would be able to generate the images very, very quickly."
