JAPAN GOLDEN WEEK

Japanese enjoy their long-awaited Golden Week

Tokyo (Japan), Apr 29 (EFE).- Japan has begun the so-called Golden Week, a holiday period in which millions of Japanese employees leave their jobs.

This generalized work break is the longest for many Japanese and lasts about a week, during which children do not go to school and many businesses close along with the stock market, banks, hospitals and public offices.

At the same time, tourist attractions are filled with people, as are shopping centers, stations, airports and restaurants.
