Japan to reopen to foreign tourists from June 10

Tokyo, May 26 (EFE/EPA).- The Japanese government announced on Thursday that it will once again allow foreign tourists to enter the country from 10 June, after keeping its borders practically closed to foreign travellers since the start of the pandemic.

The measure, announced today by Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, is a further step in the easing of border restrictions that the country has been applying in recent months, and after it was announced in mid-month that small tourist groups from four countries would be allowed limited access to on a trial basis.
