Japan implements dual pricing system amid surge in foreign visitors

Tokyo (Japan), July 25 (EFE). Businesses and tourist attractions in Japan have started implementing a higher pricing system for foreign visitors, given the record numbers of travelers coming to the country partly due to the weakness of the yen against other currencies.

The introduction of a dual pricing system for foreign visitors has raised some concerns in the country about the potential undermining of the Japanese government's strategy to promote tourism sector, aiming to attract 60 million tourists annually by 2030. (Camera: PEDRO YANES).
