Islamic political party calls for protests in Islamabad after burning of Koran in Sweden

Islamabad, Jul 3 (EFE/EPA).- The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) political party called for a protest Monday outside the Swedish embassy in Pakistan, demanding the expulsion of the Swedish ambassador after the burning of the Koran in Stockholm the week before.

Muslim activists have staged protests in recent days across Pakistan against Sweden for allowing an Iraqi man to burn a copy of the Koran outside of a mosque in Stockholm. (Camera: BILAWAL ARBAB).
