Islamabad ready for talks amid Tehran silence and Trump ultimatum

Islamabad, Apr 20 (EFE/EPA).- Pakistan shut down parts of its capital on Monday, closing offices and schools in the diplomatic zone as it prepares to host a possible second round of talks between the United States and Iran, pending confirmation from Tehran with just 48 hours left before the regional ceasefire expires.

Despite advance US teams landing on Sunday at Nur Khan air base in nearby Rawalpindi, the Iranian embassy in Islamabad has not yet commented on sending its negotiators.
