International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

Peshawar (Pakistan), Jun 25 (EFE/EPA) - Drug users in Pakistan gather on roadsides to ingest narcotics a day before the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

It was on December 7, 1987 when the United Nations General Assembly stipulated this day with the aim of "strengthening action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free from drug abuse."
