CUBA EXPLOSIÓN

At least one injured in an explosion at a Havana hotel

Havana, Feb 13 (EFE), (Camera: Felipe Borrego) - At least one person was injured Monday in an explosion at a hotel in Havana, official media reported. The Caribbean hotel, located in Old Havana, between Prado and Colon streets, was evacuated after the incident, which may have been caused by a gas leak, according to initial reports.

Statements by German tourist Wolker Wader: "My wife is staying on the third floor and I was in the lobby on a sofa and I heard the noise and then the windows fell into the street. What happened? Thank God nothing happened on the third floor because today we are leaving for Germany and everything would be broken".

"Last night there was already an explosion. But nobody paid attention to it. We were sleeping and it went boom and nobody cared. There were cracks in the wall. And now it has exploded".
