Indonesian village in Bali organises body-painting march to ward off evil spirits

Tegallalang, Apr 3 (EFE/EPA).- Participants covered in body paint paraded in the village of Tegallalang, Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia, on Wednesday during the sacred ritual of Ngerebeg.

The ritual, which is held every six months, is mainly aimed at expelling evil spirits from the villages.

In the procession, participants were dressed in a variety of colours and designs, symbolising their commitment to tradition and the collective effort to purify their community. (Camera: MADE NAGI).
