Indigenous peoples crowd the polling stations in this electoral process 2024

July 2, San Cristobal de Las Casas (EFE).- Without a special security operation in the original municipalities, the Tzotzil, Tzeltal, Chol and Tojolabal peoples went out to vote, despite the violence that has been registered in various areas of the state of Chiapas due to social conflicts, the dispute for power in the municipal capitals and the war between cartels on the southern Mexico-Guatemala border.
