Piendamó, Aug 1 (EFE).- Hundreds of indigenous people belonging to the so-called Landless People's Movement, Grandchildren of Quintín Lame, have blocked the Pan-American Highway in the Colombian department of Cauca, demanding land and housing from the government.According to the organisation, around 5,000 people have blocked the road - which connects the continent from north to south - in the municipality of Piendamó with tractor-trailers, trees, and construction sand to block the passage of vehicles in both directions.FOOTAGE OF THE INDIGENOUS BLOCKADE ON THE PAN-AMERICAN HIGHWAY, IN PIENDAMÓ, SOUTHWESTERN COLOMBIA.
