Indigenous officials stop in Brazil to protest deaths in the Amazon

Brasilia, Jun 23 (EFE), (Camera: Janaína Quinet/Alex Mirkhan).- The officials of the state National Indian Foundation (Funai) paralyzed their activities on Thursday and joined the national day of protests by activists and indigenous people for the assassination of British journalist Dom Phillips and indigenist Bruno Araújo Pereira in the Brazilian Amazon.

Funai officials and representatives of indigenous movements gathered in various cities in Brazil, including the capital, Brasilia, with posters bearing the photos of Phillips and Araújo Pereira and calling for "Justice" in the face of their deaths.
