Indian neighborhoods erupt in riot of colors for Holi festival

Kolkata, Mar 25 (EFE/EPA).- Neighborhoods across India erupted into a frenzy of color on Monday to celebrate Holi, the boisterous Hindu festival marking the arrival of spring.

The celebrations commenced early in the morning with the enthusiastic cheers of young boys, who flooded the main streets of the Indian capital armed with water guns and handfuls of colored powders. (Camera: PIYAL ADHIKARY).
