New Delhi, Jun 4 (EFE/EPA).- India began counting votes for its general election on Tuesday.

The elections will decide the 545 members of the lower house of parliament, the Lok Sabha. Early trends indicate that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are leading.
