India reopens polls for general elections 2024

New Delhi, May 25 (EFE).- India reopened the polls for the sixth time on Saturday during more than a month of general elections, the longest and most attended in the world.

The elections reached their penultimate phase, with more than 110 million voters in eight regions of the country, including the capital, New Delhi.

Polling stations opened at 7:00 a.m. in eight states and territories of the country without any reported incidents, to elect 58 of the 543 seats in the Lok Sabha, the Lower House of the Indian Parliament, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI).
