Iconic lagoon revitalization inspires Rio mangrove recovery program

Rio de Janeiro, June 8 (EFE).- In the heart of the most touristic area of Rio de Janeiro, the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon was for decades synonymous with pollution due to the discharge of wastewater. A project with mangroves revitalized it and inspired a program that seeks to replicate its effect in other parts of the city.
