Hurricane Ian wreaks havoc in Florida

Fort Myers, Oct 2 (EFE/EPA).- Florida authorities reported 53 deaths from Hurricane Ian while the governor of North Carolina reported four confirmed deaths by the powerful cyclone.

The access to the Fort Myers Beach town in Floriday is currently open to the task forces and residents only.

Ian's tropical-storm-force winds extended outward up to 415 miles, drenching much of Florida and the southeastern Atlantic coast. (Camera: CRISTOBAL HERRERA).
