Tunis, Mar 3 (EFE).- (Camera: Laura Fernández Palomo) Hundreds of sub-Saharan Africans in Tunisia are requesting voluntary return to their countries of origin in the face of a campaign of police arrests and harassment of the migrant population following "racist" statements made by the president, Kais Said, against this group.

Translation:

Marie Rose:

"The situation is not very stable, we are attacked everywhere and we don't understand why. They tell us that everything is going well but there are people who are attacked. My neighbors have been attacked. We don't understand. It is as if the situation is still not stable. We live in fear all the time. That's why we came here, to go back to our country."

Ivorian after three years in Tunisia:

"We are blocked, there are fines that you have to pay your plane ticket.... It is the police who control, you cannot leave without paying (...) We are demotivated here, we want to go back to our country".
