Hundreds of people attend annual rite of cleansing of Holy Sepulchre in Logroño

Logroño (Spain), Mar 27 (EFE) - (Camera: Sergio Jiménez). Hundreds of people from Logroño have complied this Wednesday with the traditional veneration of the Christ of the Holy Sepulchre, after the cleaning of the image carried out in the chapel of Los Ángeles of the co-cathedral of Santa María de La Redonda in Logroño.

This is the only occasion on which this image of the recumbent Christ, which closes the procession of the Holy Burial of Logroño every Good Friday, can be contemplated outside its urn.
