Hundreds of Orthodox Jews take part in priestly blessing at Western Wall

Jerusalem, Apr 25 (EFE/EPA).- Hundreds of Orthodox Jews participated on Thursday in the priestly blessing, also known as the prayer of the Cohanim, during the Passover holiday at the Western Wall.

This prayer is said only by the descendants of the Cohanim, the high priests of the ancient temples, and only twice a year: during Passover, which commemorates the exodus from Egypt in biblical times, and on the festival of Sukkot or Tabernacles.
