Hong Kong exhibition celebrates fusion of Cuban art, Asian heritage | Video

Hong Kong, Mar 27 (EFE).- Celebrated Cuban painter Wifredo Lam, known for his unique blend of surrealism, cubism and Afro-Cuban imagery, has been honoured in Hong Kong with his first major retrospective in Asia, entitled "Homecoming."

The exhibition, organised by the Asia Society Center until June 2, features prints, paintings and personal memorabilia by Lam, who was born to a Chinese father and an Afro-Cuban mother of Spanish origin in 1902.

This important event not only celebrates Lam's artistic achievements, but also explores his personal connection to his Asian heritage and the positive impact of the Chinese diaspora, as noted by his son, Stéphane Lam. (Camera: MAR SÁNCHEZ-CASCADO).
