Hong Kong, Dec 1 (EFE/EPA).- The trial of Hong Kong media tycoon Jimmy Lai Chee-ying was adjourned Thursday until Dec. 13 as the government waited for Beijing to clarify the national security law. Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu has asked the National People’s Congress (NPC) Standing Committee to interpret the city’s national security law after the Court of Final Appeal upheld a decision allowing a British barrister to defend Lai. Lai is being tried under the national security law for conspiracy to print, publish, sell, offer for sale, distribute, display and/or reproduce seditious publications.
