EU High representative: Thousands of Palestinians will be killed in Rafah offensive

Brussels, May 7 (EFE) - The High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security, Josep Borrell, said on Tuesday that the ground offensive launched by the Israeli army in Rafah will cause a humanitarian crisis "even bigger" than the one already suffering Gaza.

"Certainly the situation is very worrying. I cannot anticipate the humanitarian losses that this is going to create," Borrell warned the press upon his arrival at a Council of EU Development Ministers.
