Handover ceremony in Brussels of "Picasso, harlequin and bather", new costume for Manneken Pis

Brussels (Belgium), Oct 25 (EFE) - (Camera: Paula Jimenez Belmonte) The Manneken Pis, the small statue of a pissing boy, one of Belgium's emblems, dressed up as a harlequin and a bather on Wednesday in honour of Picasso's works and in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of his death.

In a harlequin costume printed with blue and white stripes that resemble the costumes of bathers, the garment made for the Manneken Pis honours some of the works that the Spanish painter produced during his career, in which he portrayed precisely these figures.
