Guadalajara Film Festival closes with tributes to Diego Luna, Alfredo Castro

Guadalajara, Mexico, Jun 16 (EFE) - Guadalajara (Mexico), Jun 16 (EFE) - Actors Diego Luna and Alfredo Castro were honoured for their careers on Saturday at the closing ceremony of the 39th Guadalajara International Film Festival, Mexico.

The event featured politically charged speeches against the governments of Israel and Argentina.

Receiving the Silver Mayahuel Award for his work as an actor, director and producer, Mexican actor Diego Luna expressed his gratitude to the Mexican film community for keeping him grounded and helping his international career. (Camera: JOSÉ LUIS GONZÁLEZ).
