Gilberto Santa Rosa: “I try to mix the themes of love with the energy and character of salsa”.

San Juan, Nov 21 (EFE).- Puerto Rican salsa singer Gilberto Santa Rosa said in an interview with EFE that he seeks to bring “something new and fresh” to the salsa music genre with his new album 'Debut y Segunda Tanda Volumen II', which launches Friday to the public.

It was with the third album that I discovered that this was going to be the way, an album that I made called “De amor y salsa” with the Combo Records label. I laugh because the owner of the company evicted the record and it was the record that marked my style from then on until today. And yes, I say that love is the theme that will never end. And I try to mix the themes of love with the energy and character of salsa music, especially since I am a direct product of traditional salsa, what I do is that I mix it all there. And there are many elements that you are going to find of traditional music, although it is essentially a romantic single.

A spectacular energy and that energy translates not only in the quality of the show and the music, but also in the vision for the future. You feel more committed, you feel more desire to do new projects. I have to tell you that the album was a little late for my taste, but it comes at the right time.

Then anger falls into its second stage and the album comes with everything that is a new album. So that's the word. To me it gives me an energy, it gives me a positivity and gracefully all the concepts that were.
