Moscow (Russia), Feb 29 (EFE/EPA).- (Camera: Maxim Shipenkov) Russian President Vladimir Putin today closely tied his and his country's future to victory in the war in Ukraine during a state of the nation address in which he also warned NATO of "tragic" consequences if it deploys troops in the neighbouring country."The implementation of all the plans outlined today depends directly on our soldiers, officers, volunteers, all military personnel now fighting on the front lines. On the courage and determination of our comrades in battle who defend the homeland," he said, addressing both houses of parliament. The speech, which set a new record since his ascension to the Kremlin in 2000 by running for two hours and six minutes, was screened in cinemas in different regions of Russia as part of the election campaign.FOOTAGE OF A SCREEN IN MOSCOW SHOWING PUTIN'S ADDRESS TO PARLIAMENT.
