Germany and Azerbaijan call for review of national climate crisis plans

Berlin (Germany), Apr 24 (EFE) - German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Azerbaijan's Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev, president-designate of COP29, called on Wednesday for a review of national plans to combat global warming and to ensure that they are adequately funded.

"All states must take on ambitious new national NDC plans. It sounds technical, but they are plans for investment and welfare," Baerbock told a press conference in Berlin at the end of the first day of the 15th Petersberg Climate Dialogue.
