GERMANY PROTEST

German train drivers back on strike until Monday

Berlin (Germany), Jan 24 (EFE/EPA).- (Camera: Filip Singer) German railway company Deutsche Bahn (DB) on Wednesday warned of "massive disruptions" to rail traffic across Germany due to the six-day warning strike called by the GDL train drivers' union that began early this morning in passenger transport and yesterday afternoon in freight.

"The six-day strike by the GDL train drivers' union has begun. It is already the fourth strike in this round of collective bargaining and the longest in DB's history," said DB spokesman Achim Stauß.
