German police evict Thunberg from protest against a lignite mine

Lützerath (Germany), Jan 17 (EFE).- The German police forcibly evicted the Swedish activist Greta Thunberg today from a blockade action by groups of environmental activists in the vicinity of the town of Lützerath (west), dismantled to expand a lignite mine.

Police sources confirmed that Thunberg was among the group of activists who entered the area of the Garzweiler mine on Tuesday and who were evicted from the place, according to information from the WDR regional public television.
