France celebrates Olympic heritage with latest exhibition at Paris Mint

Paris, Apr 5 (EFE/EPA).- This Friday at the Monnaie de Paris (Paris Mint) in France, the press was offered an exclusive preview of the exhibition "D'or, d'argent, de bronze. A History of the Olympic Medal".

The exhibition, which will run from March 27 to September 22, 2024, offers a comprehensive overview of the history of the Olympic Games, highlighting the important contributions of the Paris Mint as a medal maker throughout various eras.

Among the pieces on display is the bronze medal-winning sculpture "La Nageuse" (The Swimmer) by French artist Hubert Yencesse, originally entered in the art competition during the 1948 London Olympic Games.

This event is a unique exploration of Olympic history, medals and the artistic legacy intertwined with the Games. (Camera: TERESA SUAREZ).
