STATEMENTS BY THE BOLIVIAN MINISTER OF FOREIGN, CELINDA SOSA:

What we can never really give up is the struggle for the maritime claim. We will never give it up. Of course, all Bolivians have had the hope that the international instance would give a fair verdict, but that has not stopped us. We are going to continue working from the diplomacy of the peoples. We consider it very important that we can advance in this matter and I have to say it with great strength, with great ease, that this struggle is still standing. Besides, there is also the solidarity and the expression of international spaces who recognize that we Bolivians have the maritime right, we have the right to have access to the sea. We really hope that the Chilean people, their authorities, their governments, will open their hearts to this legitimate right.
