Marikina City, Apr 9 (EFE/EPA).- A food establishment opened its doors on Tuesday to serve free meals for uniformed service personnel and community public service workers in a simple gesture of appreciation to mark Day of Valor. Day of Valor is considered the official traditional holiday to honor Filipinos who sacrificed their lives during World War II, but has also been observed through the years to recognize the country’s various personnel in the uniformed service, civilian health and welfare, and public service sectors.
