Filipino residents flee homes due to massive flooding

Marikina city, Jul 24 (EFE/EPA).- Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos Junior recommended on Wednesday the declaration of a state of calamity in Metro Manila as thousands of residents fled their homes due to the massive flooding.

The flood was brought about by the Southwest Monsoon that is being enhanced by Typhoon Gaemi. (Camera: FRANCIS R. MALASIG).
