Fernando Alonso: Spain will be one of the favorites for Euro 2024

Llanera, Spain, Jun 18 (EFE) - Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), double F1 world champion, will be one of the great attractions during the Spanish Grand Prix, which will be held at the Montmelo circuit in Barcelona on June 23.

"It is difficult to choose a favorite team for Euro 24. I think we will have to wait so the rounds are passing by but I think Spain is ok. They are a young and united team, with lots of energy and I think we can be one of the favorites (to win), surely."

"I am very happy with my two 'teams'. Real Madrid in the Champions (League) thay always reaches that extra and gives us joy and then Real Oviedo... We will be promoted to the First Division (La Liga) next week. With Ovideo I am quite superstitious because the last time I went to see a match was the year they descended to the Second Division. Since that moment this has been on my mind and, despite following the games, and seeing them on television like any other fan, I would only visit the stadium when we are playing in Primera Division due to my superstition. I don't want to jink them now they are doing great and I wish them the best of luck."
