Fatalities due to Typhoon Gaemi rise to 8 on Mindanao island of Philippines

Cavite city, Jul 23 (EFE/EPA).- The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Tuesday that fatalities due to Typhoon Gaemi have increased to eight in Mindanao island and close to a hundred families fled their homes in Cagayan province.

Tropical cyclone wind signal (TCWS) Number Two was hoisted over several areas in Batanes as Typhoon Gaemi gustiness intensified, the weather bureau said. (Camera: FRANCIS R. MALASIG).
