Calahorra (La Rioja), May 26 (EFE) (Camera: Abel Alonso) - Two people died Thursday after an explosion at the biodiesel plant in Calahorra, located in the El Recuenco industrial park in this Riojan city.

The Calahorra City Council has agreed to evacuate the industrial parks El Recuenco and Tejerías due to the risk of new explosions, the first deputy mayor, Esteban Martínez, told Efe.

Translation:

"We have had communication with the company itself, and they have indicated that there were people affected and on arriving at the scene we have confirmed the death of two people who were in the area where the explosion occurred."
