Deauville (France), May 25 (EFE) - On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings, Robert Capa, considered the first photojournalist of the modern era, is being honoured in a major exhibition that reviews his entire career, especially his war coverage.Entitled ‘Robert Capa, Icons’, the exhibition in the Normandy town of Deauville brings together 150 objects including original prints and period publications, but also his Leica camera - with which he could not bear to photograph - and his typewriter. This makes the collection, in the words of the curator, Michel Lefebvre, ‘a jewel’, given that much of his material was lost after the war.CAMERA: RAQUEL FERNÁNDEZFOOTAGE OF THE EXHIBITION THAT REVIEWS THE CAREER OF ROBERT CAPA, IN DEUVILLE, FRANCE.
