BOLIVIA CRISIS

Evo Morales says that the military uprising was a "blow to the economy" and not to Arce

La Paz, July 22 (EFE).- Former President Evo Morales told EFE that the long-term future of Bolivia does not depend on lithium but on the agricultural sector, he reiterated his criticism against the Government of Luis Arce for the drop in gas production and said that the military uprising of last month was a “show” by the Executive, a “blow to the economy” of the country.

Interview via zoom with Evo Morales, former president of Bolivia.

The “coup”, “will be coup”, “self-coup”, “counter-coup”, but the real coup is to the economy. Those hours the dollar skyrockets, the speculation after that “will be coup” or “self-coup”. Now, what confidence can a private investor have to invest if this kind of show comes from the Government. What will the international organizations that approve credits say? That is why after two or three days I apologized to the international community, on behalf of the Bolivian people, for this show prepared by the Government, by President Lucho and Zúñiga above all.
