Evacuations continue after multiple eruptions of Indonesia's Ruang volcano

Tagulandang , Apr 18 (EFE).- Indonesian emergency services continued evacuations on Thursday after multiple eruptions of Mount Ruang in the North Sulawesi province, which caused several injuries and the displacement of more than 1,600 people.

The Center for Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation raised the volcano's activity to the maximum level IV on Wednesday night after it erupted three times over two days, sending volcanic ash up to a height of 3,000 meters and triggering small earthquakes. (Camera: HANDOUT).
