Ernesto Castro elects as President of El Salvador's Congress

San Salvador, May 1 (EFE).- Ernesto Castro, a former private secretary to President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador, has been elected on Wednesday as the new president of the Congress.

This decision was made by the Legislative Assembly, which is predominantly pro-government, for the term spanning 2024 to 2027. (Camera: VLADIMIR CHICAS).
