PARIS 2024 BEACH VOLLEYBALL

Érika Mongelós highlights the perseverance of her beach volleyball team competing in Paris 2024

Luque (Paraguay), July 26 (EFE).- Without having yet made her debut in Paris, Érika Mongelós has already secured a special chapter in Paraguayan sport: with Fiorella Núñez, Guiliana Poletti and Michelle Valiente they have become the pioneers of women's beach volleyball in the country at the Olympic Games.

STATEMENTS BY PARAGUAYAN VOLLEYBALL PLAYER ÉRIKA MONGELÓS:

The team with which we qualified for the Olympic Games among the five of us, although we did not see one player over the weekend, we have been working together for a long time, although the Olympic cycle starts 4 years before the Olympic Games, we have been working together for almost 8 or 9 years. For this goal we had already played as a team for the Tokyo Olympics. We got up immediately, we shook ourselves, we started working again, but although this year was 6 months of intensive work, there are also years and different Olympic sites, because we were also in an Olympic run together with Michelle Valiente for Rio 2016.
