The EU Environment Commissioner calls from Galapagos to fight against microplastics

Quito, March 21 (EFE).- The Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans and Fisheries of the European Union (EU), Virginijus Sinkevičius, reiterated this Thursday the need to agree on a Global Treaty on Plastic after verifying that microplastics are present in the Galapagos Islands (Ecuador), one of the best preserved reserves in the world.
