Ecuador's president hands over weapons to police and asks for support from population for plebiscite

Quito, Mar 18 (EFE) - Ecuador's President Daniel Noboa handed over equipment and weapons to the police on Monday, in the context of the "internal armed conflict" declared at the beginning of the year against organized crime gangs, and asked for the support of citizens in next April's referendum on security issues.
