Early detection, key to reducing breast cancer deaths in Honduras

Tegucigalpa, Sep 28 (EFE), (Camera: Daniel Espinoza) - Early detection is key to reducing deaths from breast cancer in Honduras, where about 400 women die each year from the disease, which affects one in eight, said Wednesday the Honduran Breast Cancer Foundation (Funhocam).

Breast cancer is a "lethal disease" and in Honduras is the cancer that most affects women, Karen Mendoza, a member of the board of Funhocam, told Efe during the launch of an awareness campaign on this disease.
